pont d’eno · ibiza

There are spectacular views that can only be intuited. Pont d’Eno seems very formal, but it is a manifesto, a declaration of intentions of how to live in a house that completely integrates interior and exterior. the pergolas -a cover that is not completely covered, a shadow in half light- will double the surface of the house, to permanently relate it to the plain of their territory and to those surprising leaks that only the gentle slopes, from the flush of the river, can offer. ground to distant hills …

Pont d’Eno is a game of tiles and a realization that, sometimes, things happen by themselves. because the concrete, that ‘pique’ of the architects, did not lead the project at the beginning. One is integrating the material, working it finely, without standards, wrapping it in wooden slats, like the formwork of yesteryear. And then the concrete reveals its chest and demands to stay there, to exploit the trace, more concrete or more abstract, of the mold.
